Bentley is proving as popular as ever

The luxury car manufacturer, Bentley, was founded in 1919 by W. O. Bentley. It is based in the United Kingdom and has grown in popularity since its inception. The styles of cars that have been produced by this manufacturer of luxury cars have evolved over the years and they have remained consistent in their performance. While the recession has been hard on everyone, a new report has revealed that sales of Bentley cars have now risen impressively to equal those figures that the car manufacturer saw before the recession began.

The number of vehicles sold globally has increased recently by 37 percent, with sales during the second half of 2011 rising 69 percent from 2010. People have continued to buy these cars, excited to show off a model in their driveway, eager to insure it with someone like RAC and to drive it around proudly. The new report shows that the desire to do this has indeed risen, which has made the latter part of 2011 the best period since December 2007.

Wolfgang Durheimer, chairman and chief executive of Bentley has said that this dramatic growth in sales shows that the brand is experiencing a fantastic popularity and strength globally. Its high-quality engineering and excellent craftsmanship is still being recognised and sought-after, guaranteeing the success of the Bentley name.

Bentley have recently launched a new car, that of the Continental GT. This model mixes the iconic feel of the previous Continental models with modern technologies. It is more advanced than other models and has some fantastic features. These include a powerful bonnet and seamless panels on its haunches. These are made from a single piece of aluminium that give the whole car a fantastically modern feel that still brings with it the iconic atmosphere of a true Bentley.
